What's New?

Lee Weitzman Furniture Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of a new showroom and design studio in Chicago’s River North neighborhood in March 2007. Located at 233 W. Huron, Lee Weitzman Furniture, as the showroom is called, showcases a variety of furniture designed and produced by the longtime Chicago designer. The space serves as both a company headquarters and design office as well as a venue to show new prototypes alongside classics from the Lee Weitzman Furniture established line.

The interior design community has come to know Lee Weitzman’s elegant designs through the Callard & Associates showroom in the Merchandise Mart. The same community along with the buying public has more recently come to know LWF through its former retail store, Xyloform, on Chicago Avenue. The current space is a to-the-trade showroom that is open to the public. Our longtime association with Callard & Associates continues as they represent our line exclusively to the trade at the Merchandise Mart.

One of the exciting, new aspects of this atelier is that all items on display at the Huron Street gallery are available for immediate sale. We call this opportunity “instant luxury”. However, Chicago area clients can continue to order furniture to their specifications through Callard & Associates in the Merchandise Mart.

Interior Design Magazine Recognizes Timeless Designs
by Lee Weitzman Furniture

To celebrate 75 years of Interior Design Magazine, the editors scanned designs from previous eras for the latest Market Tabloid issue. The article entitled 'Time Capsule' features furniture, lighting, wallcoverings, and flooring that the editors deemed 'as good now as they were back then'. We are proud of the inclusion of our Diva Divan (1985) as one of these timeless designs.

Laurie Rubin Photographs Currently on view at Huron Street Showroom
Mundane objects take on a sublime appearance in these beautifully arranged still life photos. Commercial photographer Laurie Rubin captures an elegance in these everyday objects with an 8 x 10 view camera, a slow and painstaking process that allows her to have total control over the perspective and shape of the objects, as well as the quality of light. Currently on View at the Lee Weitzman Furniture gallery are excerpts from her Books Series and Driftwood Series.
